My Experience:

My own menopausal journey started with the emotional side - crying every day for what appeared to be no good reason! I had no idea there was even an emotional side. Employers need to appreciate that going through the menopause is like going through puberty all over again, but probably made worse by all the associated symptoms playing their part! My saving grace was that I went through it with my bestie: we laughed, cried, shared, but more importantly, we supported each other.
