We are all keen to ensure that we meet the skills requirements across Cumbria so that demand can be met, and maximum benefit returned to the area. This partnership and stakeholder event will highlight the challenges and opportunities arising from £90 billion investment within the Nuclear Sector, as well as a range of other major infrastructure projects planned across Cumbria. Key speakers will explain the potential impacts and opportunities for Carlisle and Cumbria, then outline the future skills requirements across a range of sectors in order to meet the projected demand. Presentations will be followed by a panel discussion to begin the debate on how Carlisle will respond.
