#GiveaDayCarlisle brings out the best

We don't have time to write long blogs at the moment, as everyone on Give a Day to the City team and #DoubleTrouble at Carlisle Ambassadors (aka Kate and Michelle) are pretty busy helping to organise, share, promote, ask for help... and occasionally grabbing a cuppa. So early start here at Wilson towers this morning, as we are very keen to thank everyone who is making such an amazing contribution to #GiveaDayCarlisle.

Tristan Josh of Eco-tech Systems has been relentless in his efforts to support projects he is involved with. He has been in contact with lots of companies, and is bowled over by the generosity of people in the area of Carlisle, Cumbria. So this first thank you (the first of many that will follow over coming weeks!), is to DA Harrison for donaing 40 TONS of topsoil to support projects Tris is involved in. This is amazingly generous, and we can't thank them enough on behalf of Carlisle Ambassadors and Give a Day team.

We'll be posting regular updates, and also some requests for help where needed. Thanks to everyone involved in and supporting #GiveaDayCarlisle. The dream of Andy Fearon has turned into reality, and although this is a "pilot" year that has been organised in a very short space of time, the signs are great for a wonderful beginning to an annual "Give a Day.
